Dango is everything people love about Great Pyrenees dogs. He's calm, kind, observant, and carries himself with the quiet confidence of a dog who believes it's his job to look after everyone around him.

Recently, Dango met a 3-day-old peacock chick and gently kissed it, leaving all of his rescuers completely smitten. That's just who he is. He approaches the world with kindness and respect, whether he's meeting a tiny baby bird, another dog, or a new person.

Dango loves being with his people and is happiest when he's nearby, whether that's following you from room to room or simply relaxing at your feet. He enjoys affection and companionship, but he's also wonderfully independent. He's perfectly content spending the afternoon napping, entertaining himself, or quietly taking in the world around him. He has a calm, balanced personality that makes him an easy dog to live with—always happy to be part of the family without constantly demanding attention.

At around 75 pounds, Dango is a little thin and could use a few extra meals to get him back to a healthy weight. Once he fills out, he'll likely be over 80 pounds of pure love.

How a dog this gentle, beautiful, and good-hearted ended up lost in the world is beyond us. What we do know is that whoever adopts Dango will be gaining a truly special companion.
