Jackson is a handsome little Chihuahua mix with a heart that's just waiting to bloom. He came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where more than 45 dogs were discovered after their owner passed away. Because of his past, the world can still feel a little overwhelming, but every day he grows a little braver.

While Jackson may be timid when meeting new people, he has a soft side that's impossible not to fall in love with. Once he feels safe, he's a true lap Chihuahua. There's nothing he enjoys more than curling up in someone's lap, snuggling close, and drifting off to sleep. Being near his person brings him comfort and helps him continue building trust.

He's making wonderful progress in foster care and is opening up more every day. A few tasty treats certainly help—Jackson is a big fan of yummy snacks and quickly discovers that good things happen around kind people.

Jackson will thrive with a family that understands shy dogs and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace. With patience, gentle encouragement, and plenty of cuddles, he'll reward you with quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and a bond that's incredibly special. Sometimes the dogs who need a little extra time become the ones who love the deepest, and we think Jackson is one of those very special dogs.
