Meet Lily Blue

Age: Approximately 2 years old
Breed: Terrier/Schnauzer/Husky mix — our best guess
Weight: Approximately 35 lbs, with 5–10 lbs to gain
Good with: Dogs

Lily Blue was found living as a stray in the wild with her babies. We don't know what happened to her puppies or where they ended up, but we do know that Lily Blue made it to us—and now she finally has a chance to discover what a safe and loving life can look like.

When Lily Blue first arrived, she was completely shut down. There wasn't much joy or pep in her step, and she seemed unsure of the world around her. But little by little, day by day, she has been coming out of her shell.

Every day she shows us a little more trust. A little more curiosity. A little more love.

Lily Blue is good with other dogs, and we're beginning to see that she really does want affection and connection with people. She is still figuring things out, and we don't know exactly who she will become once she feels completely safe and confident. She's also underweight at around 35 pounds and needs to gain another 5–10 pounds.

And honestly, that's one of the most exciting things about Lily Blue. We get to watch her become herself.

We can't wait to see what the next few months bring as she continues to learn that she is safe, loved, and finally home. She has already come so far, and we have a feeling there is a whole lot of personality and joy waiting to come out.
