Meet Nana
Age: Approximately 5 years old
Breed: Likely Anatolian Shepherd mix
Weight: Approximately 110 lbs
Good with: Dogs and people
Not good with: Livestock
Nana is one of those dogs who is simply hard not to love. She is a big, beautiful girl with an equally big heart. At around 110 pounds, Nana is considered a senior for a dog her size, but don't let that fool you—she is still playful, fun, and ready to enjoy life.
Nana is loving, loyal, affectionate, and wonderful with people. She also enjoys other dogs and is good with dogs of all sizes. She prefers meeting dogs off leash, where she is comfortable and confident, and does beautifully making canine friends.
She loves toys, going for walks, and stopping to sniff absolutely everything in sight. Nana walks wonderfully on leash and is a pleasure to take out and about.
Because Nana is not good with livestock, her ideal home will be one without livestock and with someone who understands the needs and instincts of extra-large breeds.
Nana's current owner is moving out of the country, and because Nana was originally adopted from our rescue, we are committed to helping her find the right home once again. This isn't about simply finding her another place to live—we want to find her people.
Her perfect home will be experienced with extra-large breeds and genuinely understands what it means to love a giant dog. Nana needs someone who appreciates her size, gives her plenty of room to be herself, and wants a loyal, loving companion by their side.
She is truly a beauty and an absolute love. Nana has so much love to give, and we can't wait to see her land exactly where she belongs.
